Summer Learning Journey

Today at Panmure Bridge School we were having an special assembly about the Summer Learning Journey. At assembly Rachel and other visitors came to Panmure Bridge School to talk to us about Summer Learning Journey. We also had some visitors from the the next foundation. We were having a free lunch. We all enjoyed eating our lunch. We all have lot's of fun and enjoyed our time today. The next foundation thought that it will be a good idea that if we keep on doing the Summer Learning Journey. I would like to thank to the visitors from the next foundation that came to Panmure Bridge School today and also thanks to Rachel and her team for talking to us about the Summer Learning Journey. 

Athletics Day

Today is the Athletics Day for Panmure Bridge School. There were some students from Tamaki College that were helping us with the activities that we were doing. I was in the red team with Zahra, AJ, Calvin and Shannon. We all did our best to win every activities that we did. We all had fun whiling doing those activities. We were all cheering our team, when other people from our team was playing. I had a lot's of fun today.

Production

Last night, Panmure Bridge School finally performed their dance in front of family and friends. When I was going on stage, I felt excited and nervous because I was performing in front of my family member. Our staying alive group was ready to get their jazz on when they want on stage. I think everyone did really well and I also think our group did really well with the timing. 

Scale Drawings

Last week, LS2 was making enlarged scale drawings. We first had to print a small version of what we wanted to draw, and rule it up into a grid (1 cm x 1 cm). After ruling them up, we got an A3 paper and ruled up the grid but enlarged it by 1 cm so that it were 2 cm x 2 cm. It was very fun but challenging since we didn't always get the picture that we wanted. 

Tech

Today LS2 went to tech at Tamaki College to do some learning.  The year's 8 are in Stained Glass and our teacher for that is  Mr Grundy. We were fishing off our drawing from last week that we draw for our design. We can copy two ideas from Mr Grundy design and 1 idea can be your choose and you need to make up 3 idea of you own. I have chosen to draw some letters in my drawing today. Then practice cutting some glass. We have use the glass cutter to cut. I think this is really hard for me to cut the glass because whenever time I tried to cut it didn't work. But I did cut half of the glass. Next week we will be cutting the glass with the colour if we have finished. 

Kiwi Can: Taking Risks

Today LS2 had Kiwi Can with Miss Latoia and Mr Malu. This week we are learning about taking risks in our life. Frist we started off with a warm up called bip bop bounce bang. Then we played a game called hand soccer. I think our team were using team work while playing hand soccer and I can hear people were supporting each other. Our team tried our best to win this game. 

The Duffy Books

Yesterday LS2 were getting their Duffy books in class. I think I will be reading my book That I got in the holidays. I choose this book because I think it is interesting for me to read. This book is called eva see a ghost. Last term I got a book named eva treetop festival. I like to read these book because it is easy for me to read and understand.

Duffy assembly

Today we had an Duffy assembly in the hall. So first we went to the hall and we wait for the other classes to come over. When the other classes are here, we started our assembly. First I saw some people coming into the hall, they are our visitors. The visitor that came to our school is Filipe Manu, Bow, Donna, Madison Nonoa and Katherine McIndoe. First they tells us about they self and how did they started reading and how. They are a singer. They sing us a song that they have learnt. At the end of the assembly Madison,Katherine and Filipe hand out some box of Duffy book. Thanks to the visitors that came to Panmure Bridge School. I hope that the visitor have great time coming to Panmure Bridge School.

Tennis and Futsal ( Kiwi sport )

Today we had futsal, but  for today we had to go down to the riverside and play there. The teacher that taught us for today is Martin and Neville. We have two gourp. Group A and gourp B. I was in gourp B. 

My gourp first played tennis. The teacher for Tennis is Neville. He was teaching how to play the tennis. Neville first taught us how to play the tennis and how to be safe too. After that we started with a ball and hitting using tennis rackets. Then we chose a partner, with our partner we had to get some ball and started hitting the ball to our partners. When I tried it first time I didn't get it right but we just had to keep trying. The person that I played with was Zahra. Then what we did was one person get some balls and put the tennis rackets away and throw the ball to the other person. I throw the ball and Zahra try to hit the ball. I think she tried her best to play this Tennis. When Neville say switch Me and Zahra change space. She throw the ball and I hit the ball. This was my first time to play the Tennis and thanks to Neville that taught us how to play some tennis. 

Next we played futsal with Martin. In futsal we were playing score. We first got into the terms. We have black,Red and white. My term races the white, we try our best but they win. Next we played with the black. We try our best but we lost. Thanks to Martin that taught us how to play the futsal ( score ). We all enjoy our day and have fun playing some tennis and futsal at the riverside.
