Time table warm ups

Today we math group start with a warm up math called Hit the Button. We were practice our 4 time table. I found finding the answers harder because it is going fasted. If I have some time I well practice my time table so that next time I could get more then 20 in 1 minute.

Multiply by 10x,100x

Today we had math. In math my group is working on our 10 and 100.  In my DLO I have some facts that can help you with your 10 and 100.  I have explained and show you how to work with time table.

Food Technology

Today the year 8's were learning how to make a Chocolate hedgehog. Frist we get into our group. I was working with Oh Hesn, Zahra and Nazella. We all have job to work on. Today we were using 8 biscuits, cocoa powder, coconut powder, melted butter and nuts. Frist we need to get the biscuits and a tea towel. We put the biscuits inside the the tea towel and smash with the rolling pin. Then we gets the coconut power and nuts. Then we put all the mixture together .Then we get out the pot and put the butter and cocoa powder in to the pot. We put the pot on to the oven for a minute. When the pot is hot we get the mixture bowl and put the pot into the bowl. Then we get out the round baking tray and put all the mixture into the tray. We put the mixture in the fridge. Then we melted the chocolate chip and put it on top of the Chocolate hedgehog. Then we use a knife to cut it. I think everyone like the Chocolate hedgehog that we made today.

Te Oro presentation

Today most of the classes from Panmure Bridge School went down to Te Oro. At Te Oro we walked around to see what the other School's had done for Te Taiao O Tamki. Panmure Bridge School first watched performance from our school. Next we went upstairs to look at Glen Innes primary to see what they have done. They had some games to play on their netbook or you can draw some picture that they showed you. The next school that we went to was Tamaki Primary. The Tamaki Primary area had lots of photos about their school and a video about the Tamaki River. Everyone enjoyed watching the performance from our school. 

Hit the Button

Today for math my group have been looking at some math games. For today I play hit the button. When I open it have activities for me to do like time table and other. It was fun learning my math on the this games. In this games I have to click fast as I can then when I get it wrong I have to try again.

Tech

Today in tech we made salmon kebabs and potato salad. We first got into groups. I had to take out all the little bones with tweezers, and then I had to cut off the skin and cut the salmon into cubes. Then we put some water in the pot so that we can put the potato into it. After that we cut out the potato and put it in the pot. While the potato are cooking in the pot we put the egg  into the pot to make it cook. Then one person cut the green onions, while one person doing the onions one person cut out the tomatoes into cubes. When they all done we mix them together. Everyone likes to eat and have fun making the kebabs to. Thanks to Mrs Heka that showed us how to make it.

E-ako Math

Today I started playing on E-ako math. E-ako is an a math games that you learn your time table and place value and other things. For today I am working on my place value. Playing on E-ako is fun and great to learn our math too.

Respect song(Care Award)

For this week in my care award I chose to work on the Aretha Franklin respect song. In my DLO I have put two photo of Aretha Franklin. I have write some of the information about Aretha Franklin and when is born and where she from. Aretha Franklin is a American singer. Most of the people like songs. This is a DLO about Aretha Franklin respect song.
