Robotics

Last Friday was our last day at tech for this year. On Friday LS2 stayed at Tamaki College to have an experience. I was in the robotics group. I was learning about how to make the M done fly using the iPad. Me, Shakaia and Mishaan were working really hard to get the M done fly. Mr Dunn was our teacher for the robotics. Hopefully we all had lot's of fun whiling doing the robotics on Friday. 

Stained Glass

Today our year 8 group was cutting their design and tinning it. We were cutting our design step by step so that it is easier to join it all together at the end. I'm nearly finishing off my design. I just need to cut some few glass and then I'm done with my design. I've choose a chopping knife for my Stained Glass design. I think next week I'll be done because I need to cut 3 more glass then I'm done with my design.

Tech

Today LS2 went to tech at Tamaki College to do some learning.  The year's 8 are in Stained Glass and our teacher for that is  Mr Grundy. We were fishing off our drawing from last week that we draw for our design. We can copy two ideas from Mr Grundy design and 1 idea can be your choose and you need to make up 3 idea of you own. I have chosen to draw some letters in my drawing today. Then practice cutting some glass. We have use the glass cutter to cut. I think this is really hard for me to cut the glass because whenever time I tried to cut it didn't work. But I did cut half of the glass. Next week we will be cutting the glass with the colour if we have finished. 

Tech

Today at tech the year 8 have finish their clocks design with Mrs Ferguson. I choose to created an apple for my clocks this term. Today is our last day with Mrs Ferguson at graphic. I think my clocks turn out really well with the colours that I have use in my design.  I have choose to paint yellow at the front of the back. We have to paint the front of the front and the back of the front. 

Tech

Today the year 8 and 7 went to Tech. Our year 8's group was in graphic with  was Mrs Ferguson. All the people have choose one of the design that they wanted to give it to. I have choose a apple for my clocks. Today we all  started painting ours clocks. There are 4 different colours that we can use in our clock or make them a different colour. The four colour are Red, Blue, Yellow, light green and dark green and white. I have choose Pink, Red and purple in my colour.  I hope my clock look nice by the end of the painting.

Clock Desgin ( Tech )

This term at tech we are looking forward to make some clocks. Today we had chose someone in our family to give it to. I choose to give it to my Aunt. We also had to wirte five things that the person likes and then we had to find an image then put it on a DLO. Then we were given a paper and a pencil to draw the picture.

Tech

Today the year 8's start a new rotation. This term the year 8 is going to be working on graphic with Mrs Ferguson. Today we start making some DLO. We start making a google drawings all about us. We had to find an images of what we liked. Then we got to a website called Avatar maker. On that website you can make a cartoon of you self. The next task is to find any of the clock name and images and put it on the DLO.  

Tech

Today for tech year 8's made Quiche. To make quiche we first got into our tech group. The people in my group are Zahra,Nazella and Oh Hsen. We all had a different job to do. My job was cutting up the spinach and the onions. For the ingredients we used eggs, plain flour, butter, cheese, tomatoes, onions and spinach. Nazella made the pastry, while Zahra gradually added a little bit of water into the flour and butter. When the pastry was ready Oh Hsen rolled it out and put the pastry into the foil dish. Then we put the onions first then we put spinach then tomatoes for the last one we put the mixes. Everyone was having fun make the quiche. Thanks to Mrs Heka that showed us how to make it.

Tech

Today in tech we made salmon kebabs and potato salad. We first got into groups. I had to take out all the little bones with tweezers, and then I had to cut off the skin and cut the salmon into cubes. Then we put some water in the pot so that we can put the potato into it. After that we cut out the potato and put it in the pot. While the potato are cooking in the pot we put the egg  into the pot to make it cook. Then one person cut the green onions, while one person doing the onions one person cut out the tomatoes into cubes. When they all done we mix them together. Everyone likes to eat and have fun making the kebabs to. Thanks to Mrs Heka that showed us how to make it.

Tech

On Friday we went to tech . Years 7 did cooking and year 8 did the art. We  learned how to make a smoothie drink. It was fun. When we finished we put the smoothie in a cup  then we drank our smoothie drink. When we finished drinking our smoothie. Then we cleaned the cooking class room. We had groups 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. I was in group 4. People in my group were Zahra ,  Nazella and Oh Hsen.  

Tech

On Friday we went to Tech and Year 7 was in the cooking class and Year 8 was in the art class. We all are in different classes. I am in the cooking class and we all have fun in cook class.
